If so many libertarians are now so worried about a Koch takeover, one has to ask, why have they spent so many years building a brand with an unshielded thermal exhaust port? So there's a TM hook: is there any problem with the prospect of changing the services Cato is so well known for? Presumably the hope is to leverage its remaining brand name value, especially among the people who have an idea of what the brand means but haven't followed the changes. Trademark owners get to do that, but scholars have occasionally suggested they shouldn't be allowed to do so.
