Trademark expo Oct. 14-15

The PTO's announcement of this free two-day event is on its website. Were it not for my full-day commitment to AALS on both days I would love to go to see what exactly this entails, but the PTO says that the expo "is designed to educate the public about the value of trademarks in the global marketplace":
The Expo will highlight such themes as “Unusual Trademarks” and “Brand Evolution,” and will feature educational workshops for adults and children, exhibits of authentic and counterfeit goods, and costumed characters.

The opening ceremony on October 14, 2011 at 10 a.m. will feature music by the U.S Air Force’s rock band, Max Impact, and a guest appearance by Chubby Checker.
